3D Print Cost Calculator
Drop in a part file and see what it would cost to print, material by material, before you send it. Built for engineers, product teams and maintenance shops who need a number to plan with — and a firm quote from a person when it counts.

How the estimate works
- Size, volume and surface area are measured from your file, in your browser.
- Weight is the part's outer walls plus a share of its inside — printed parts are mostly walls, not solid plastic.
- Print time comes from how much plastic the printer has to lay down.
- The price is machine time plus material, at the shop's own print-hour rates and the per-order minimum for each material.
- The low end assumes standard settings; the high end assumes the stronger settings a functional part usually gets.
When it won't show a number
A confident wrong price is worse than none, so the calculator holds back when:
- the model's surface isn't closed, so its volume can't be calculated honestly;
- the size suggests the file is in the wrong units — it offers the inch fix when it can;
- the part needs our large-format machines, resin, flexible TPU or multi-colour printing — those are priced by a person.
Every one of those can still be sent to us as it is. A person quotes every job, usually within one business day.
Questions
Is my file uploaded when I use the calculator?+
No. Your browser reads the file and measures it on your own computer. Only the measurements — size, volume and surface area — are sent to work out the price. The file itself is sent only if you choose “Get a firm quote”.
Why a range instead of one price?+
For the plastics we print here, we price by time on the printer plus material. The low end assumes standard print settings; the high end assumes the stronger settings a load-bearing part usually gets. Orientation, supports and how parts pack onto a plate move the real number, and a person decides those. SLA resin and SLS nylon are priced from the part's volume, so their range is narrow. A person quotes every job, usually within one business day.
Why won't it give a price for my file?+
If a model's surface isn't closed, its volume can't be calculated honestly — the number would change depending on where the part sits in space — so the calculator shows no price rather than a wrong one. The same goes for a file that looks like it's in the wrong units. Send it anyway and a person will look at it.
Can it price STEP files?+
Not in the browser: STEP is a CAD format, not a mesh, and measuring it needs a CAD kernel. Export an STL or 3MF from your CAD tool, or send the STEP with your order and a person will quote it.
Does the estimate include supports, finishing or shipping?+
No. Sanding and painting, rush turnaround and shipping to you are quoted by a person, and so is support removal on the plastics we print here. Standard turnaround is 3–7 business days for most jobs; SLA resin and SLS nylon are made by our production partner and take about 2–3 weeks.
What about large parts and production runs?+
Parts bigger than our standard printers (256 mm) go on our large-format machines (up to 600 mm) and are priced by a person. For runs, the estimate scales with quantity; a firm quote plans how the parts pack onto each plate.
